Gnomon - time to move on

I've just read your personal introduction, so I've added you to my friends list. We share a lot of interests in common. I'm trained as an electronic engineer, although I've been working with computers ever since I left college (a long time ago). I also am heavily into orchestral music - anybody who's even heard of Beethoven's 8th gets my vote! I went through a Mahler phase for about 15 years, but now am into Richard Strauss and JS Bach. I can play clarinet, tin whistle, recorder, guitar and mandolin, and am learning the saxophone, although I'm not amazingly good at any of them.

I see you're sub-editing my Blues entry. I hope there's not too much work involved.smiley - smiley

Hi Gnomon!

I've also added you to my friends list ... smiley - smiley

It's interesting that you mention Richard Strauss - I played my viola in a concert a few months ago, which included his opus 27 songs for soprano and orchestra ... probably one of the lushest (is there such a word?) pieces I've ever heard or played! I have only *just* started getting into Mahler, mainly through the 15 symphonies of Shostakovich - some of which apparently out-Mahler Mahler ... the slow movement from his 5th symphony and most of his 4th, for instance.

But enough about that ... your Blues entry is actually almost perfect (as far as spelling and GuideML go) - the only thing I've done to it is superscript the 7s for the A7 chord markings ... hope you approve! (If you do, I can return it to the Editors.)

Mikeo
