Greetings David,
I am shagbark- a hardwood from Lansing Michigan.
I am an amateur astronomer, author of the EG entry on the Big Bang
and an official non member of the h2g2 astronomical society.
I wrote the entry you are subbing on the Dwarf Planet Ceres.
In RL I spend 38 hours a week as a cashier and about 10 hours a week running a church library cataloged in Dewey. With so many libraries in the US abandoning dewey for other systems it is nice to see someone who still knows it.

I'm looking forward to the Ceres entry, as I find that science ones always stretch me more, as I'm a humanities person. 
Most British libraries seem to be sticking with Dewey, thank goodness. I think it is far superior to most other classification schemes, even with the intriguing Christian-biased religion system and other little quirks!
