I was wonderining whether to reinforce this my saying,

All three of their children attended a prepatatory school in Salisbury before moving on to senior schools'.

What do you think? (I'd have to check on the number of children he hays. I know 43 of them went to the said school, but I've a feeling he may have four)

Hi BigAl, it's not too late at all! In fact, I haven't even had a chance to look at it yet, so I will definitely incorporate those points. I hope to be able to do some subbing tomorrow (only here for a flying visit at the mo).

I thought so! I've been attacked by the typo tonight as well.

I've just noticed that I've spelt Preseli (hills/mountains) at least two different ways. Please could you standardise it as Preseli, as this is the spelling that gets most hits when I 'Google' it (163,000). The other two variants only get 250 or so hits.

To help you find them, the two 'incorrect' spellings I used were

'Prescelly' and 'Preselli'.

Right. I have attended to those issues. I haven't mentioned Sting's kiddies, as the number is still uncertain, and it's not all that important. However, if you desperately want it in, I'll include it.

I need to give this a properly thorough read-through now. It doesn't look as though I'll have to do much work at all. If I do, I shall come back and post here to let you know so that you can either agree with what I've done, or poke me with a pointy stick.

Agree with what you say about Sting's kiddies. Only reason I considered putting them in at all is that it might reinforce the fact that his Wiltshire home is his most important one.

I think referring to it as the family home, rather than just a home or a house, reinforces that point subliminally. I have been through it once. Not much changed at all. A few commas added and subtracted and a couple of very minor changes to the word order in some sentences. I shall give it another read-through tomorrow (if my rehearsal finishes early) or Wednesday (if it doesn't) before sending it back to the editors.
