Hello Mr Singing Librarian Owl
Bookmouse Posted Apr 30, 2007
OK. Calm down.
I don't know why not a tawny owl. It just seemed very specific. One day I will learn to stop asking questions (of you, not generally). However, this may take some time. Please bear with me while I adjust my mindset.

I spent most of yesterday on a canal boat and saw many cute fluffy pom-pom-like moorhen chicks!
Also lots of (ducklings!)
Hope you're having a good weekend.

I was really hoping that we had a pineapple smiley, but this will have to do...at least it's yellow!

Oh dear, I have been talking to myself for a while now. I must stop, or people will think I'm strange, and I am beginning to feel a bit silly. However, I hope you enjoyed your pretend sweetcorn pinapple.

P.S. Have you seen any of Springwatch? They've been filming a nest of tawny owls.

back again.

Was the d'oh for me or you?!
I was just listening to another song that's made me cry in the past. 'Bridal Train' by The Waifs. It's about Australian women who married American soldiers during WW2 and them going to join their husbands in America. I'm not sure why it made me cry. Just the thought of them all leaving their homes and going to an unknown land and a new life, maybe.
'Being Alive' is another one, although I only cried when I'd listened to the cast recording of Company. John Barrowman's version doesn't make me cry, although I love it.
Oh, dear. I've waffled on so much I fear you may have already gone again!

Yes, and maybe also the performance, but I suppose that's related to the context as well, in this case.
Is your performance of 'Being Alive' sounding any better in your head now?

Hmm, that is rather annoying for you. I hope the person who can't make the rehearsals has a good reason (but preferably not one that involves anything bad!).
