Hello Mr Singing Librarian Owl

smiley - erm OK. Calm down.

I don't know why not a tawny owl. It just seemed very specific. One day I will learn to stop asking questions (of you, not generally). However, this may take some time. Please bear with me while I adjust my mindset.

smiley - run

Also lots of smiley - chick (ducklings!)

Oh dear, I have been talking to myself for a while now. I must stop, or people will think I'm strange, and I am beginning to feel a bit silly. However, I hope you enjoyed your pretend sweetcorn pinapple.

smiley - run back again.

*waves*

Was the d'oh for me or you?!

I was just listening to another song that's made me cry in the past. 'Bridal Train' by The Waifs. It's about Australian women who married American soldiers during WW2 and them going to join their husbands in America. I'm not sure why it made me cry. Just the thought of them all leaving their homes and going to an unknown land and a new life, maybe.

'Being Alive' is another one, although I only cried when I'd listened to the cast recording of Company. John Barrowman's version doesn't make me cry, although I love it.

Oh, dear. I've waffled on so much I fear you may have already gone again!

Ah, that'd be that context thing, again (making you cry). smiley - smiley

Hello Mr Singing Librarian Owl

Post 38

Bookmouse

Yes, and maybe also the performance, but I suppose that's related to the context as well, in this case.

Is your performance of 'Being Alive' sounding any better in your head now?

Post 39

David B - Singing Librarian Owl

Irrelevant, unfortunately, as the Sondheim concert has been postponed until after My Fair Lady. smiley - sadface

smiley - sadface Hmm, that is rather annoying for you. I hope the person who can't make the rehearsals has a good reason (but preferably not one that involves anything bad!).
