Graffiti

I'm currently researching graffiti and how it affects our communities and society. I would like to know what any of you think about this issue. Here are some questions I have asked my self and hopefully you can give me your feedback on it. I would like to use this information to put together a presentation for my sociology class. So if you could please put your age, gender and occupation it will help me a lot, thanks. Well, here are the questions.
1)Do you think graffiti is affecting our community.
2)Who should be blamed for the actions of the graffiti writers?
3)Should some of the graffiti be considered art?
4)Do you think gang graffiti and art lookin graffiti should both be illegal?
5)Should the people who do the art looking graffiti be considered artist or vandals?
6)Do you think it is good that some of these graffiti writers have jobs doing graffiti(ex.like airbrush artists, muralists)? Do you think it helps our economy in any way?
7)Is money made or lost because of graffiti?
8)Should graffiti be less of a concern to law enforcement and be concentrated more on the dangerous criminals?

You are asking a lot ... but here goes:

1)Do you think graffiti is affecting our community. Yes!

2)Who should be blamed for the actions of the graffiti writers? The kids!

3)Should some of the graffiti be considered art? Sometimes! In the right places!

4)Do you think gang graffiti and art lookin graffiti should both be illegal? No!

5)Should the people who do the art looking graffiti be considered artist or vandals? Both, if not on the right walls.

6)Do you think it is good that some of these graffiti writers have jobs doing graffiti(ex.like airbrush artists, muralists)? Do you think it helps our economy in any way? No

7)Is money made or lost because of graffiti? In England (London) there is a team of public employees that go around and get rid of the graffiti. So, I guess, that cost tax payers money!

8)Should graffiti be less of a concern to law enforcement and be concentrated more on the dangerous criminals? In England again, this has little to do with the police and more the local authority that has to get rid of it.

Hope this helps.
