So here I am again, online messing about when I expressly promised myself (as well as others who probably actually believed me) that today i would do some "serious reading". i like reading, i really do. but something about prescribed reading makes the kick-your-heels-in ancient mulish strain of the mary's more than usually prounouced. blah. i have come up with however a nice sentence summarising my fondness and battles with the english language
"My english teachers told me that using excessive punctuation and parenthesis - such as dashes, semi-colons and brackets - were a sign of bad writing (idiots)".
No one ever told virginia woolf "hey ginny, lay off the sardonic asides".
have also formulated name for my stand up comedy routine.
"I used to be a manic depressive - but I'm not so manic now."
