People are weird, eh?
I've got an insanely big project to complete this morning, but I'll see if I can track down a link or two to some Chicago weirdness this afternoon.
I'd read about the utility sink bath yesterday. Like many kids, I did a short fast food gig during high school myself. No one did anything that gross, though another girl and I did get into a soapy fist fight while washing dishes one night.

It's really amazing how you can just do something like that and end up in the newspaper. Maybe if I went to buy a new car and paid in livestock, I'd make the front page.

Sometimes the stuff that hits the front page doesn't seem all that important. I guess it's a good thing when it's such a slow day for reporting?
I'm slightly disturbed that my search for weird happenings around Chicago was fruitless. Surely someone's been up to more interesting things than "cop suspended for demanding free Starbucks".

Yeah. Personally, I don't really care too much about the fellow to bathed in the Burger King sink, but then, I'm not going to be eating in Xenia anytime soon. I have a couple of friends who live in Xenia. Maybe I'll ask them if they've heard about a drop of business there.
Now if you wanted to live around a bunch of whackjobs, I'd suggest Florida. As much as places like San Francisco, LA, Chicago and New York are maligned for their urban culture, I'd say 70% of the "weirdo" stories from the US come out of Florida.

My parents live in Florida- they moved there in 1990- so I've witnessed some of that weirdness firsthand. It must be something in the water down there. I totally agree with you.
