Hi Jordan!
I've been given another one of your fantastic entries to sub, and I'm just about to polish it off. You can check it out here: A32778570
Just a couple of questions --
>>"he had reached the ripe old age of 90 - almost three times the average life expectancy of the day." The average life span was only early 30s in the 1820s? Seems very young.
>>"According to family tradition, a storm that had been raging ended with a tremendous clap of thunder just after his death," Family legend, maybe? Or did all the Adams' die this way?

Hey there
I think it was around 32 or 33. But I believe that number came from the life expectancy of when he was born, rather than when he died.
I was thinking more along the lines of the 'traditional' way that the family told the story, but use legend if you prefer.
