h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've added a few references, but I'm sending it back otherwise unchanged. I really like this; easy reading given the subject matter, and the analogy in the very first paragraph is a cracker.

I liked the Senate entry a bit better than the House entry, but I think that one turned out okay too.

What you've done, though, is draw me in with that analogy from the start. I admit I haven't read the Senate one, but I felt like I was going to enjoy this from the first paragraph onwards. It's much easier to read if you at least think it's going be entertaining, even if the subject doesn't suggest it will be. It's a good, meaty hook, and quite unexpected.

I should really get into PR more often and make comments like this, shouldn't I?

Yeah, a good hook is useful for a boring subject like that . I find I don't get many comments on my US history/politics entries unless I make some effort to spice it up. I'm trying to write an entry on the Presidency right now, and it's maybe even a bit inappropriate in places.
