Subbing the Ashtabula Horror

Gnomon - time to move on

Hi Jodan.

I'm subbing the Ashtabula Horror at A29443223. It seems straightforward.

One question. Do you think it would look better if the italicised sections were indented? It would hightlight the difference between them and the normal text sections more. I could do this using the BLOCKQUOTE tag.

The only other question I have is about links. How do you feel about adding links to this? Would they disturb the flow of the prose too much?

I'm fine with links. I have some in there already, I think. I'd prefer not to do blockquotes, though.

Thanks. smiley - smiley

I did change a couple of words in it here and there, most notably changing the American "wreck" into the British "crash" since wreck means something else in British English.

There wasn't much else to do to it.

Well done. It's an excellent Entry and I love to see good stuff like this going into Edited Guide.

Is that right? What does 'wreck' in British English refer to?
That change is fine by me of course. I'm just curious smiley - bigeyes

Thanks for the compliment, as well.

Well, it's almost the same meaning. A wreck in BritEng is an object which has been destroyed by being in a crash. You could say a car is a wreck, but you couldn't say that the wreck happened last week.
