The torture never stops ...
Have you ever heard of the Zappanale? It's a big party every year in Northern germany, where ex-Zappa bandmates (eg. Vinnie Colaiuta, Ike Willis and those guys) and Zappa cover-bands get together and play some serious music. I hope I can be there next year.
Cheers,
HELL

No, I did´nt know of that . Sounds like the thing to attend. I´m danish so it´s right around the corner I´ve read a bit about those cover-bands though.
Do you have any more information on that ?

Not really anti-american but has no problem critisizing what he see's wrong in america.
>Can't have no private conversation
Nowhere
In the USA
Can't wait 'til the rest of the people all over the the world
Find out their government
Is just the same ol' way

People being much more mild in their critizizm of USA, than FZ, on different threads have been called antiamerican by you birth.
"Dickie´s such an A**hole", yes good song. I think the best version is on the "Broadway...." album. He was right, and that´s the reason I don´t trust my own goverment either

I will not denie that I have had some 'spirited debates' with some researchers. I could go into detail on my reasons and thoughts on the subject but will not bore you with them. The short of it is america is a huge country with a deversified population made from every ethnic, religion and nation in the world. It is neither the worlds savior nor its devil.
Besides if we all ageed on everything it would be a pretty dull thread

Did I get this right
An american critizizing america = He has no problem critizizing what he sees is wrong.
Foreigner critizizing america = At the least a suspected "antiamerican" individual.
See, I don´t agree with you 1nce again so as we can make this world a better and more diverse place

Oh well here we go again
No I did not say that. However there is a difference between self critisism and crtisizing another while turning a blind eye to ones self's short comings.
Statements to the effect that short comings such as greed, overweight, lack of manners, morality, education being bullys,violent.....are american traits only instead of applying to humans regardless of their nationality is not productive.

birth, I seem to remember you calling people antiamerican for critizizing the Bush administration, and poliitics; but as I can´t be bothered to read one year of backlog on 4-6 threads, I will give you the benefit of doubt.

That concert was the best $10 I have spent in many years. It was an 11 person band with 2 keyboards, 2 guitars, bass, drums, percussion, xylophone, trumpet, saxophone and one singer who luckily didn´t try to imitate Frank Zappa; he did sound a lot like Ike Willis at times though.
The numbers played was:
Easy Meat
I´m the slime
50/50
Broken hearts are for assholes
Dinah moe hum
City of tiny lights
Peaches en regalia
Florentine pogen
Pyjama people
Find her finer
Honey don´t you want a man like me
Teenage prostitute
Find her finer
Trouble every day
Whipping post

Who was the guest ?
I saw the Beach Boys during the summer {not really a fan} at a state park {Harkness state park} during the summer. It is located right on the long island sound. Spectacular setting looking out over the sound hearing fog horns in the early evening, smell of seas air as a backdrop made it memorable. You bring a blanket and dinner and have a picnic before show. People bring everything from cold sandwichs and wear shorts to setting up tables with a 7 course meal and black tie. The park is actually an the estate of a mr. harkness wich he left for the public at his death. It includes a 42 room mansion, sprawling gardens and a large lawn over looking the sound {about 20 acres.} They hold concerts during summer from rock to classical.
