Thank you for your birthday greetings, Peter.
We were ... busy celebrating and so carried away we forgot to be polite. A hundred thousand apologies ... we didn't mean to be rude.
We've missed a great deal of what has been happening, between the Birthdays Bash and a short trip into the hills to recharge our batteries.
We only have one more festivity - my son's birthday - and since he hasn't been home in a few years, we'll have a full house again soon. Then we can begin to return to what passes for normal in our house.
