I'm in uk sussex
terestial television as such being broadcast on vhf wave band for 30 odd years as opposed to radio on uhf.

Whilst technoligy has moved on now more digital in fact vhf transmissions i understand will soon end any how.

I live in an area that can be served by two transmiters of televison signals ,one of the transmiting digital signals one of them is not.
THE vhf band only carrys 4 channels bbc 1+2 itv (regeonal) channel 4
Most of the rest of the country can get several other station through television arial or cable.I Cant only digital sevise has to be from sky.

Hence i spend more time on computer, also have gripe with the system that states i have to not only pay six months in advance minimum for a liscence should i cancill that liscence or for example move house and not need a liscence not only does it take as long to obtain refund refunds only given from 1st day of following month.

Sorry I'm late with this reply, and thank you for that explanation.

Here both UHF and VHF are used for television and digital signals are only receivable by cable, fibreoptics, or satellite.

So in that part of Britain you have no other cable/internet solutions? I only ask because someone mentioned there was a Blueyonder alternative that allowed internet access on television.
