You seem to suggest the gospels are inauthentic, historically-contentious, politically-inspired texts, inspiring fear and intolerance and plunging Western Europe into a dark age of savagery and unparalleled ignorance. These teachings, you say, have been further corrupted by his followers who preach hate and intolerance.

Sorry for not replying but I have been on holiday and then returned to be struck down with glandular fever (not a lightning bolt ).

I am a contentious old curmudgeon and am always happy to nudge someone who sets himself up so completely You will note that I don't challenge a person's faith, but the accuracy of what they claim.

Thanks for the blessing. Unlike the rabid rationalists I spar with I always take these with the intent of the sender in mind, so blessings of the old gods on you too.

Was there any of my points in particular which you'd like to contest. I shall pop into the GFF thread soon and see if you already have.
