He wont go near that plant for awhile I don't think after today, he was dissaplinned,

I've been letting him ride on my shoulder out side when I go for a walk and today he decided to check out the snow up close its about 36 inches deep where he decided to jump. Poof!!! He was about 2 feet down into the snow.

What I was thinking was that I would go buy a piece of sod and throw it on a garbage bag in the basement for him and then use it to patch the frost damage on the lawn in a few weeks.

You've been planting young plants in the snow ? Best thing the cat ate them then,I mean the snow will kill them off anyway hahahahaha Good idea about the sod though.I'm impressed hahahaha If you like yellow grass that is !!! Can't be much light in a basement hahahaha See you soon xxx

I've been starting my tomatos in one of my spare rooms and transplanting them into larger pots and there is plenty of light in my basement as it has south facing windows.

A basement with windows I see,that explains it then Wayne.Most basements here in England have no natural light at all.The sod will be Ok then !! xxx Hope your OK xxx

If you really want to know I have been feeling kind of drained. An old friend had a heart attack Thursday morning and is near death so have had a lot going on. His family has to decide if it is time to "pull the plug" and I have been with them most of the last few days.

What a dreadful dilemma for the poor family Wayne ! I am so truly sorry to hear your sad news.Just a most awful thing to happen.I have no pearls of wisdom or even words of comfort to offer you.If you need to talk,I'm here for you xxx

Well they did it but he was still hanging on when I left. Could be hours or days not long though I think probably some time tonight.

Thanks Pinky, his body died about 10PM Sunday night but his brain died Thursday from lack of oxygen after the heart attack. So at least it was quick.

He was quite a guy, he used to be the police chief here in Winnipeg so should be quite a large funeral. I'm going to miss him showing up at my door Sunday mornings for a drink and visit.

No words can give comfort at this saddest of times Wayne.I am so deeply sorry for your loss.I will try and find a poem given to me when my Dad died,it was a great comfort,called Footprints,you maybe familiar with it.If not,I'll search it out for you.You know I'm here for what it's worth xxxx

He'll be missed that's for sure, on the other hand it's going to be one heck of a wake and he would have liked that.

Well he owned a bar after he retired from the police and he always loved a great party. Also the city is doing the full police funeral with the works. So it will be quite a send off.
