Amy: ear-deep in novels, poetics, and historical documents.

If you're looking for revolutions, you've come to the right place. smiley - biggrin Well, we've mostly got silly revolutions, but that's alright, this can be a silly place. smiley - smiley

Anyway, the reason I'm here is because I'm an ACE (or assistant community editor) and what I do is welcome newcomers to the Guide. smiley - smiley We ACEs generally do so by giving out lots and lots of links... so that's precisely what I'm going to do.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/Aces -- in case you're interested in the other duties of the ACEs.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/Gurus -- the tech geniuses of the site; they know h2g2 inside out and can answer just about every question you can come up with.

A632431 -- h2g2 jargon. A place like this practically creates it's own language after a while. This is the best place to learn things fast.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/DontPanic-FAQ -- the Frequently Asked Questions page. So don't panic if something confuses you... go here first. smiley - ok

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/Smiley -- the smiley page. We've got tons! smiley - cakesmiley - alesmiley - earthsmiley - zensmiley - runsmiley - bigeyes

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/thepost -- h2g2's weekly newspaper, put out every Thing (Thursday), full of community news, articles, and cartoons.

Finally, if there's anything you need at all-- please don't hesitate to ask me or one of my fellow ACEs. We love helping new researchers-- that's what helps keep this place friendly. smiley - smiley Just leave me a note on my user space or reply to this message. Enjoy your time here at h2g2-- and I hope to see you around the Guide!
