I love Douglas Adams (duh), George MacDonald, CS Lewis, JK Rowling (yes, I am a big kid at heart), Tolkien, etc.
British humor is so... timeless. Us dumb Americans can't make a joke about anything unless it's news. And even then, it's usually just a bunch of really dumb jokes. British humor is so... random. I can watch a Monty Python sketch from before I was even born, and it is still funny. I watch any sort of American comedy show, like Saturday Night Live, from a few years ago and I don't get most of the jokes, because they were all about current events.
And Texas is a hole because it is an awful place to live. Especially if you are stuck here against your will.

i think our humour is kinda off the cuff , you have to reply to something really quickly and i have been told i am a little like that so you could say i'm a fungi
