Hmmm... I know what you mean!
I like it cos it's action-packed but not dumb, and it's funny but not silly, it's clever but not cynical, and it's touching but not schmaltzy.
What's your favourite quote?
"What am I supposed to say?! I killed the president of paraguay with a fork... how've you been?"
"You can never go home again... but I guess you can shop there."

"I was hired to kill you. But I'm not going to. It's either because I'm in love with your daughter or I have a newfound respect for life."
that one always makes me laugh
"Hi, remember me? I'm not married, I don't have any kids, and I'd blow your head off if someone paid me enough."
it's full of great lines, Cusake is great at this type of film...but I love it because it's funny, it's got this whole romance thing going on and then there's a big shoot-em-up at the end, it's brilliant!

That's got to be the best love-scene ever!
I like the bit with Joan Cusack:
"Three thousand rounds of nine millimeter subsonic! You have that! Get it here now! Hold on... It's not going to be a boring soup, carrots and celery are just the basis of a soup!"
She rules!
Or the store clerk dude:
"I'm hurt, I'm pissed, I gotta find a new job!"

Me and my mates are always saying that one. Usually out of context.

Cracking film and I love it when Joan and John Cusake are in films together, their other sister was it GPB too but I can't remember her name.
THe brother sister relationship gives them such brilliant chemistry on screen especially when they're yelling at each other.
Love that quote

Is their other sister the one at the reunion party in the neck brace who had the weird near death experience?..
"I was surrounded by these yowling creatures, then suddenly I was drawn to a bright light and there was Mozart music, poetry and flowers..."
Oh, and that bit at the party - the pivotal moment - when he looks at that baby... "Under Pressure" is playing. And you can see Blank change what he believes in. That's just great!

God I'm gonna have to watch it AGAIN now, you've got me desperate to find quotes and best bits
No his other sister is the one when Cusake and Minnie Driver are sitting in the bar and a drunk woman comes and talks to them.
It does have (to quote another Cusake fill) "a kick ass soundtrack"
