Hello there
Angelicus Started conversation Dec 21, 2003
Hi Claire! I'm Kristian, Øyvinds friend. Thanks for the welcoming on your site. I wonder if I'm sending this thing to the right place, computers and technical stuff really isn't my thing. (No, I'm not excactly straight)
By the way, you have to excuse all the mis-spellings I am sure I'll do while sending you messages ans stuff. Øyvind is just better than me at that, he mostly reads books in English. I would also be grateful for a slap in the face if you think I'm sounding to posh (when you learn English from TV, you have to choose between American and British English. I reckon you understand my choice.)
I'm really looking forwrd to going to Scotland, I've never been there before, although I love the scottish way of speaking, not to mention the old architecture. As a Norwegian, I'm starved on historic landmarks.
Well well, those were some thoughts from me tonight. If you would like to write me an email or something (I may be slow at answering on H2G2 as I'm not surfing around here very often), just ask Øyvind for the adress.
I look forward to getting to know you! Good night, sleep well, sweet dreams.
Kristian
Hello there
Tiara.Kitten*Valentine Cat* Posted Dec 22, 2003
hello Kristian!
Well i sure have heard a lot about you!
Don't worry about spelling or grammar mistakes or Oyvind being better at English than you... because, well... he's better at English than i am...!
ah and your use of Americanisms is entirely acceptable because i have to be honest... we're totally Americanised over here in every way... not too sure if that's a good thing for us mind...
aha so you like our accent do you?:!... i seem to remember having Oyvind ask his class at school if they find the scottish accent sexy and some of them said it only works if it's a Scottish man... and i think you were one of the ones who said that were you not?! tut tut Kristian! just kidding sweetie.
well i shall look forward to meeting you in the Wah Wah hut too.... i don't know about Glasgow or Edinburgh in general but im pretty sure you'll love King Tuts where Span will be playing... it's a great little haunt.
Yep i'll get your e-mail address from Oyvind then.
in the meantime enjoy your holidays(if you work anywhere near as hard as Oyvind seems to then you'll be needing a break)
Merry Christmas
Claire

ps- did you know Scottish girls wear kilts?
Hello there, again!
Angelicus Posted Dec 22, 2003
Nice to hear from you, Claire. Indeed I love your accent, and it also works even if it's a girl
. Still, I have to admit that when I first fell for Scottish, it was due to a really cute boy, the one who playes Oliver Wood in the first Harry Potter movie. I melted at once
.
Speaking of Harry Potter, do you read a lot? I sure do. Maybe I ought to read more books in English before going to Scotland, but I usually read books in Norwegian. I'm not so much into the whole big-fat-novel-thing as I love reading all kinds of stange books, full of even more strange (and to me, exciting) facts.
I have to ask. What the heaven is a Wah Wah hut? *curious*
If I need a break? You bet. This semester, and especially the last two-three months have been awfully tiresome. You're supposed to play three instruments every day, practice "direksjon" (you know, waviving your hand in front of a choire to make them sing), and we have tests and tasks in the music subjects AND the ordinairy subjects. Yes, I am tired
No, I didn't know Scottish girls wear kilts. Cool!
by the way, how do you look? I think Øyvind has tried to describe you, without me remembering very mush of it. I usually have lots of curly, funny hair that sticks into my friends' eyes or noses when I give them a hug og just lay my head on someone's shoulder. I bite my nails, so they're not very pretty to look at. I'm quite slim, and my way of dresing is whst I call "scarf-boy" (thats the kind of boy whose dressing style more or less screams "classic" and in which a woolen scarf would fit naturally in.
I've got to go and eat breakfast now, but we'll talk later.
Hugs, Kristian
Hello there, again!

Heisann!
Oliver Wood? Hmmmm it's a pity i fell asleep during the first Harry Potter film! I have an excuse though... it was 1am in the morning. i shall keep an eye out for him though
Yeah i read quite a lot... well a lot of the time it's to do with college but i have time(like just now as it's the holidays) i like to read... except from when im listening music that is.
oh that's just King Tuts full name: King Tuts Wah Wah Hut.
dear god... i know... it's tough being a student isn't it? You seem to have such a comprehensive education system in Norway. I don't think ours is quite so comprehensive. Im not sure if it's a good or bad thing.
ah yes we do! i asked because Oyvind was under the impression it was justs just Scotsmen who wear kilts... they're a fashionable garment ove here!
i have 3.
awwwww you're not alone, i bite my nails too i grew them all nice and long in the summer but i have since failed to resist the temptation!
i've seen a piccy of you! I lurrved your pink tiara i have one too!
well i have long chestnut brown hair(very similar in colour to Oyvinds' actually)y)...hmmmmm well im really short(5"3") and im slim... i've got green eyes... i don't know what else to say!... well hopefully i'll e-mail a piccy over to you two... i'm having trouble getting one where i don't look horrendous!(
"scarf boy"? sounds great! well im "glam girl"... tiaras, leopard-print and all things pink!

Mr. Carrot Posted Dec 26, 2003
Naw, I wasn't really... We just have this way of picking at each other...
The scarf-boy expression gave me a laugh, though... I get your point Kristian, but still, the way you wore that scarf was rather silly, and impractical
.
No offence intended, though.
Øyvind

hello!
the way he wore his scarf? how did he wear his scarf? As an accessory when not wearing a jacket or coat?

Hey there! *christmas*
Mr. Carrot Posted Dec 27, 2003
Hehe... he called it an "intellectual way of wearing it", he always wore a jacket with it, and with his hair, he could never wear a cap... Anyway, I digress... The "intellectual" knot involves throwing the scarf around your neck a ridiculous amount of times, and tossing the remainder of the scarf behind your head... Which is both impractical, and looks rather... strange, really. But then again, he reformed on christmas eve and has now started wearing it in some other way, hopefully in what we call "Mette-Marit" style... With a double length around your neck, and the ends running through the loop on the middle (this is hard to explain, but we'll show you when we get to Glasgow (bring your scarf, Kristian))... Though, it may be too much to hope...
Oh well, I'm sure he'll explain it better when he gets back...
Øyvind

Mr. Carrot Posted Dec 29, 2003
Well, I think he is in Harstad, that's waaay up north in Norway, where it's cold and there are loads of snow...
He'll be back tomorrow, I think
Øyvind
Hey there! *christmas*
Mr. Carrot Posted Dec 30, 2003
Hmmm. We live in a region called "østlandet", close to Oslo... Check the map. Drammen is also very close, just a wee bit to the left of Oslo. Harstad can be found rather far up north...
Øyvind
