Sole

Talk about embarrassing moments, I had my share of it two nights ago. I was passing by a classy hotel when I suddenly felt that the sole of my right sandals was starting to fall off. I kept on walking nonetheless, while hoping against hope that I'd be able to head back to the dorm with a complete pair of footwear. But the darn sole didn't let me get away with it. Right there and then, it fell off. I didn't know what to do at first. I was deliberating whether I should leave the darn sole lying helpless on the floor and continue walking or pick it up, keep it at my side so no one else would see it, throw it away to the nearest trash can and act as if nothing ridiculous happened. Both options seemed equally pathetic anyway so I ended up doing the latter. Believe me, it was one of the rarest moments in my life when I wished earth would just swallow me whole so I wouldn't have to deal with embarrassment. But thank heavens no one noticed my little stunt. I was able to go home, red-faced and ego-bruised. Now the long and short of it was... 1). Never wear cheap footwear again. 2) Avoid passing by expensive hotels smiley - biggrin.

35MM

I've looked forward to having our photojournalism class but now that we've taken the plunge, I wonder when will I be able to get the hang of it smiley - huh I can't say this without shame but out of the 16 shots that I've taken a couple of days back, only 5 miraculously appeared on the negatives. It's disheartening smiley - erm because I've been hell-bent on doing it right but things ended up disappointing nonetheless. Maybe my knowledge with the basics of harmonizing the darn shutter speed and aperture is lacking as of yet. I'll give it a shot again tomorrow and if my pictures turn out to be a blur again, I'm not sure where my temper will take 'em.
