I have just stumbled upon your poetry; and it is absolutely amazing. I know I commented recently about something you wrote being so moving - and it was; but the things on your journal are totally awesome. Have you published anything, because you should!!
On the subject of your Hootoo name! I actually remember that incident (that's ageing me somewhat; but hey, who am I trying to impress?
Neil Harvey wasn't it? Commented on by the inimitable Brian Johnson - rather like a pre-curser for Murray Walker in fact!

Why, thank you, Scorp. I'm not sure about my poetry being amazing, but I'm glad you like it. And no, I haven't published anything - wouldn't know where to do so, tbh.
Yes, it was Neil Harvey whom Johnners described as standing, legs apart, waiting for a tickle. I remember it, too - but not well enough to recall whether Harvey was in the slips or at leg slip. No-one seems quite sure on that point and it was so long ago that no recording of it exists. Still, there are some consolations to growing older: when I go out with my children now, I'm the one who pays the concessionary rate.
