h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello Darth Zaphod,

As we seem to be the two lucky ladies featured in this week’s CAC –C I thought I would take this opportunity to drop by and introduce myself.

I’m Flameofgold, real name Pauline, across the pond in good old Blighty, better known as England. I hail from the east coast, a city called Norwich which when pronounced sounds more like a drawn out Norridge. Norridge happens to rhyme with Porridge a very tasty hot cereal to set you up for a cold winter’s morning in the UK.

Norwich is an old cathedral city steeped in history with a Norman castle and old city market place. The castle was built around 1066 which makes it only marginally older than me. As I live on the outskirts of the city it’s just a few minutes drive into the city and a few minutes drive out into the countryside. Luckily I can have the best of both worlds depending on my mood of course.

I stumbled across H2G2 just a few short weeks ago and so far I have been very impressed with the site. My first short story, originally written for my eyes only in a bid to express my admiration for my favourite artist suddenly seemed an idea for a posting and it has kind of carried on from there...........

I love your funky style personal space. Mine isn’t up to much yet as I’ve been so busy writing I haven’t really had the time to think about how I will fill it. I expect that will come with time.

Well hello! How nice of you to drop me a note

I'm Darth Zaphod, DZ, or Katie as I'm really named. I live in Nebraska, right in the middle of the United States. Nebraska is a horribly dull state, with a bunch of corn and cows and that's really it. I live in a town called Gothenburg (Swedish heritage) and it's extremely small (3,000 people) and just as dull as Nebraska I'm about to graduate from high school next month, and will be moving on to a University next fall. I plan on studying abroad in College in the UK somewhere if I can. I came to h2g2 over a year and a half ago, and have been extremely addicted to it ever since I've had numerous stories in CAC, and I write for The Post (as this recent CAC stated) I haven't written lately, being busy with high school and all, but I'll revive my column come summer. I think that's about it!! Thanks again!!
