Just made quite a long posting on the Depression thread you started, just wanted to add to that *hang on in there*.
I'm not sure whether being apart under the circumstances is harder or easier, probably harder. But email is good, because what you need to say won't be clouded by an emotional tone of voice or body language.
It's hard, loving somebody who has depression. I've found this a good place to escape to!

PS I really like Private Eye too .. I didn't think anybody under the age of 30 read it!

Yay! Another private eye fan! I know lots of people under 30 who read it - it's very popular amongst Oxford students.
Hootoo is always a great place to escape to! Everyone's been brilliant on the "depression" thread, I'm glad I've had so much support.
It's very difficult being apart from my fiancé when he's feeling low - emails can be very impersonal. I'm making sure I keep in touch with him by phone a lot.
