Salmond, that is.
(I saw your post on someone else's thread. I'm not engaging with him. He's a racist ****. Who's invited me to meet for a beer)
Slightly unfair. A minority administration has to compromise. I'm not a natural SNP supporter - although I did vore SNP last time, they being left of Labour and the SSP having been murdered by Citizen Sheridan - but actually, he's been making a decent fist of it.

Fair enough... are you pro-devolution (in the political sense )?
I'd be interested still in the benefits of moving to Scotland btw. I've always had a fondness for the place, though only spent a couple of days in Edinburgh.

Pro-devolution...yes. It was a bit of a fudge, but even Jack McConnell made it work, in the face of Westminster opposition.
Independence - my position used to be that I could live with it or without it. But I'm begining to think that there could be considerable advantages to living in a small European country. I'm not native-born, incidentally. I've only been here 17 years.
I blogged on it a while back. http://bonoboworld.blogspot.com/2006/12/we-are-devo.html
My prediction at the end didn't *quite* comme true...but Gordon has certainly been dicking off Holyrood by playing hardball.
Interesting time, interesting times.

I meant independence honest.
Fascinating blog. The Little England mentality has flourished, of that there's no doubt; but for Westminster it means bums on seats, sales of the Murdoch papers et al.
With relations to Russia so touchy, Scots would benefit from fuel trade with England - if the English don't want Scots voting on their turf, they'll surely have to cough up for the privilege, and get a new cabinet.
Where were you originally from?

It's definitely home.
The only big disadvantyage is the Seasonal Affective Disorder. In it's favour - it's just a better culture than England.

Sadly, there are no pills or light boxes that treat being in England. But I'm far happier with the curtains drawn anyway.
