Hello! Just want to know how you're holding up. I'd like this to be a regular thread of correspondence between us here on h2g2 if possible ...

Hi Will, I'm doing okay, bearing up reasonably, though I don't get a great deal of time online either. Right now I'm trying to find work so I can save up to get back over to Chicago. I see from your journal threads that you're still very busy and very passionate about your interests, that's good to hear.

Sure we can keep this thread for correspondence. Hope to hear from you soon

Hi Chris! I do hope you soon manage to get the money together. Or somebody could help you out or something.

You know what, I've started working on yet another book! So that brings the number of books I'm currently working on to five:

1. A book about myself, my struggles with mental disease, health and happiness. Perhaps best published after I've already become famous ...
2. An illustrated book for children called 'Clackle gets Lost'.
3. A long science fiction novel entitled 'Control' or something like that.
4. A book about bodybuilding.
5. This new book I'm doing, titled something like 'In Search of the Soul'.

Then there are two more long-term projects I'm thinking about ... the first is Valerie and Vivienne and their brand of interdimensional Utopianism. The second is a cartoon (or rather graphic-novel-style) series called 'The Frontier Force'.

Anyways this new book I'm working on is really going to get done. I'm working quite fast ... about 1000 to 2000 words a day ... and I know exactly where I'm going to. It's in Afrikaans ... if it's good, I'll translate it into English, or perhaps write a different, bigger version for the English-speaking world. But it's really going to get done. I'm already at twenty pages. It's going to be between 100 and 200 pages. I might have it finished before the end of the year. I have lots of people over here willing to read it for me and to give me some feedback. So I really think this is something that is going to get done, and going to get done *good*.

Blimey! I hope you're not trying to concentrate on these all at once, dude. Good luck with them though, I have no doubt they will all be exciting reads.

I'm starting on a book myself, a novel, though I don't want to talk about it here - and I'm painting too, to keep me busy at the moment. I keep painting over and starting again though, don't have much faith in my talents on that score just yet, but it's relaxing, and good fun.

Most of the time though when I'm not scouring around for a job, I'm doing remixes on a great program called Fruity Loops, which I recommend you have a look for.

This morning I did a version of "We Will Rock You" using sounds from my microwave.

Wow that sounds great! I think I will enjoy a thing like that immensely!

Sorry to butt in guys, but... just had to pop over and see what Chris was up to over here. I'm nosey, so sue me.

The remix of "We Will Rock You" was briliant, no matter how silly Chris thinks it was. He's a very talented artist and has such a knack for turning the seemingly mundane into the completely magical. I love it! You'd really enjoy it, Willem, perhaps Chris will let me copy it for you once he's sent it to me?
