Have you read any Terry Pratchett books?..They're quite good as well.
I enjoy many of the movies you like..of course I also like Snatch and Fight Club as some of my top favorites, not to mention Get Shorty..ok I will stop that now. I've seen so many I can't even remember most of them.
George Carlin is wonderful..I especially enjoy his stuff on religon..and of course just the general stupidity of today's society. (I'm obsessed with comedy) I haven't seen much of The Simpsons, but I do agree that the show is absolutely amazing from what I HAVE seen.

Thanks Quille. Oh, by the way, I just checked out your space, too. (Before I saw your post, by odd coincidence) Cool stuff. I would join LCISUSICM, but I'm in college, so I'm a few years too old. Oh well. I recently bought Pratchett's The Color of Magic, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet(too many good books, not enough time).

My space thingy is really awful..I can't even figure out how to make more of the little divider things (blue bits with titles on them)..though I could probably take some time and learn a bit about stuff like that. Oh well.
Not sure LCISUSICM (LCCM for short) is all that exciting yet anyway. i believe the leader is still attempting to recruit. Guess you aren't really a child in reality anymore (your mental status does not count as reality), ah well, you could probably ask our humble leader..he seems itching to get members but then again he might not give in..depending on your age? <-----(subtle question as to what your age actually is in case I don't know it yet..which I severely doubt)
Indeed many too many good books..The Color of Magic is a pretty good one of his but 'The Thief of Time' has got to be my favorite so far. Though I love the character Rincewind (not that you have any clue as to what I might be talking about, seeing as you haven't read it yet).

I reside in New Jersey, and I do like cats, although their independence and spoiled behavior can sometimes grate on ones nerves...
But anyway, I like your style.(I always tend to like people I can actually hold an intelligent conversation with)

For your own reference, I hate alcohol as well. Tastes incredibly bad, and I fail to see what looking very silly in front of others does for some people.

mmm..New Jersey..I've been there before. I enjoy cats, too. Mine seem to be relatively dim (reminds me a bit of dogs) and adorable in about everything they do, up to and including being unalterably evil and ruining our entire house in one sitting (or rampaging in their own right).
I like your style, too..it is, well, I'm hazarding a guess at the fact that it might indeed be yours. Quite unique and dany, though.

You're certainly at least as intelligent, if not more(as I suspect) than most of the people I talk to at college. What would make you think otherwise?

Hehe..my intelligence is only a facade! Inside I am a truly stupid young girl with only the understanding of human actions and a few handy dandy words to confuse people with (they are LONG words).

To be serious..I actually do know I am intelligent in some respects, since I don't really try to do much of anything and still score highly. I understand language so I sound more intelligent than I am, sometimes. As for being more intelligent than some people you speak to at college..Well, that would depend upon the people you speak to. I hardly would think that any of your friends would not indeed be nearing your intelligence and intellect in some form or other, but as for strangers on the campus (and indeed some professors) one might never know.

Intelligence is a burden not to be taken lightly and probably shouldn't be boasted about as it makes those without it (or at least those that think they do not have it) quite mad, even though they could do just as well as you if not better by far with just a little help or persuasion. I believe I am not much more intelligent than others..just that I've had more time to learn (and can do it quicker) or something like that.
(If I make no sense or this sounds a bit rough..I probably didn't mean it the way you are taking it..er sorry in advance..make no mind of me if this makes no sense..I'm not going to reread it yet)

Actually, I quite agree with you on your musings about the responsibility of intelligence. I too have thought similarly in many situations. On the other hand, even if not outwardly, it's good to know internally that you have the know-how to go great places. On that note, if you haven't read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card(on my list), you really should. It's quite perfect for you, I think.

Ah...well..I will try So many books so little time..but I volunteer at the library, so I will look it up if possible. ( I read 5 novels this week, and started another tonight, so I'm startin ot get through them) I think I'm going off to bed now, as I've been up 19 hours on 5 (not so great) hours of sleep (watching 2 rambunctious scoundrels of kids for 8 hours of it) and doing the evil shopping bits for another of them (I dislike most shopping immensely [excepting that of buying gifts for others and book shopping]).

I just got Ender's Game (and the four books that come after it) out of the library today. I haven't started reading yet, but I will. i also just realized why the title sounded so familiar. It's one of the books one of my friends has been telling me about for ages. Ahh well..I finally got it. Ok then, off to read.

That's great! There are actually only three books that come after it: Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind. There is also a side book called Ender's Shadow which takes the same time period and setting of Ender's Game from the perspective of one of the other characters, and it has a sequel called Shadow of the Hegemon.
