Hello there. .. wow, you actually replied.. I'm impressed.

Ironically (or, actually, not ironically, really, but I needed something to begin my sentence with), I changed the name probably at the same time as you were typing your reply to my posting.. but still..

I'm studying philosophy at the University of Southampton (which, I maintain, is the best university for philosophy in england, which therefore makes it the best in the world. )

I'm interested in.. very little, at the moment. I flit between interests depending upon where exactly my consciousness is focused, and right now it's not really focused on anything I'm interested in.. I'm more concerned with the fact that, for example, I have enough money for this year to pay for my accomodation, but not to eat. .. but anyway.. I don't think that's quite the answer you wanted..

..lots of my interests are listed on my uspace.. I think.. but you can pretty much fill in the blanks with a generic set of interests.. music, computers, philosophy. I'm not THAT out of the ordinary. Aside from the morbidity and the abseiling and the kippers.

For fun.. I listen to music, go out, watch tv, make food, talk to people, spend too much time online (when I can), parachute jump (I haven't actually done this yet, but I'm maintaining that I'm going to do it this term, since the parachuting society does excellent prices), scuba dive (I don't get to do this nearly as often as I'd like).. I love working in theatre (backstage, mainly.. I've done a lot of this).. the list goes on, actually.

Dangerous? .. me? .... never.

A person studing philosophy who is concerned about getting enough to eat...hmmm... yep..that sounds about right. As a sort of great philosopher said...Know thyself..but first get yourself a sandwich.
Skydiving!! I skydived once..the operative word there being once...As a piolt I thought I should try jumping out of an airplane for fun. After the jump I figured that I would jump out of an airplane again only if it, or I am on fire.

As for all your other interests and your wonderful sounding state of mind, I think we're on the same page. What is about the theater that you enjoy? Since I perform as a comedian...I love the intimacy, the instant response, the pressure to get it right the first time, being in the moment, the power, the fear..I just love it.

Why philosophy? What do you like to talk about? What questions are you trying to get a grip on?
