I think I made a smalll mistake by going to Uni and neglecting my few friends back at home... now I'm back at home, all my Uni friends are scattered to the far corners of the globe and there's no-one to talk to here! Harrumph...

Results!

Final degree results finally got released this afternoon, after three seemingly interminable weeks of waiting and that horrible nagging worry that they won't be as good as they need to be
Well, they were as good as they needed to be, so I can properly relax now 
, safe in the knowledge that I can continue the student life another year at least...

What a lovely trip

The trip to the Lake District was quite marvellous, it didn't rain (much) and we only got stuck behind a giant touring coach in a narrow country lane once. Great views from Helvellyn and Scafell Pike too, always a bonus. We found a fantastic shop in Glenridding that sold more bottled ales than I knew existed - a small fortune could easily have been spent.
Now not-so-eagerly awaiting the final Vivas tomorrow and results on Thursday... can't wait!

Well, that was fun! Someone's naughty computer sent me a virus via email today, and muggins here accidentally let it loose on my computer by hitting "enter" instead of the "delete" key! 
The ultimate typo error? Whatever, I've just spent literally hours cleaning the wretched thing off 
! I'll not be making that mistake again in a hurry.
And yes, I do use a virus scanner, but it's only as clever as the idiot using it... The one good thing is that firewall software stopped the thing spreading itself to all my darling friends.
I don't half feel daft, though...
