Hi there Incog, good of you to drop by! How are you?

Everything's great for me at the mo, apart from eating too much at the Hiking Club Christmas dinner last night. 'Twas worth it though, if only as an excuse to get all dressed up in a smart suit (complete with festive red bow tie and matching cummerbund ) and have all the pretty young ladies try and drag me on to the dance floor...

And the nickname? I used to play a lot of videogame RPGs, and I always called my character Dolt (I think I first chose it 'cos I thought I'd be a bit thick at working out the puzzles). When I logged on here it seemed the natural choice for a nick; now I've been here a while there's no point in changing it even if it is a bit of a misnomer.

So how are things with you recently?I've had some strange viral thingy for a couple of weeks but I'm better now.I'm on half term at present but with no cash to spare it's rather dull for me and my son.
Anyway I hope life is treating you well?

Hi there Incog! Glad to hear you got well for half term. Did you manged to find some cheap things to keep yourself entertained?

I just got back yesterday from an extended weekend in Budapest - a friend just had to get away from Swansea and dragged me along. It was great fun (if I ignore the first day) though a little embarrasing too because I kept leaving souvenirs for the locals all over the shop - my glasses and Lonely Planet guide on the plane, my bag and my friend's hat on a tram...

I'm getting the first batch of photos back tomorrow, and hopefully will finish the second roll of film next weekend. And if I'm lucky they won't have gotten fogged by the scanners at the airports and in the parliament building .

Hallo! I'm well, thankyou. I'm mangaging to get online for a few minutes at a time, especially now I've got a modem that doesn't require me to have two computers running simutaneously.

Glad you like the PS, though I have to admit my creativity ran out not long after working out how to do the table/book cover gubbins. I thought you had something of an artistic bent? Surely that necessitates a smidgen of creativity?

So you have been and got a life.Well done! I really must try to do the same this year only on smaller scale.Maybe I'll take my son for a day out on the Isle of Wight.Not been there for about 8 years and it's only a half hour ferry journey.

Mind getting him away from his Xbox,New PC(when we get it after the GCSE's)and a newly resurrected Amiga CD32 might just be a tad difficult.He doesn't actually wince at sunlight but he does look stupified.

I did want to go to Holland with my sister to visit the Van Gogh gallery but cash may be a problem.Hubby is still convinced that by the Autumn he will be looking for a new job.

Anyway hope that life is treating you well and that the high from your China trip lasts a long time.
