Hi Greta,
My family are going to Pescara at the end of June for a holiday, and I'll be joining them about 1 week into July. Hopefully we'll be there for about a month. We've not all been over there together (as in a proper family holiday) for well over 10 years. It will also be the first time my Nona will see my sisters kids i.e. her great-grandchildren .
I know Pescara is nowhere near you but I just thought I'd tell you anyway. I'll have to start brushing up on my Italian again - Dio mio!
I'm thinking of travelling there on my motorbike. It would take about 4 days to get there but it would be amazing!

Riccardo, if you're coming to Italy by motorbike we simply MUST meet somewhere. Where were you thinking of crossing the border? If it happened to be Slovenia or Austria, let me know and I'll drive over. (Slovenia wouldn't be a big deal actually, since I live five minutes from the border.)
I'd really love to catch up at some point, let me know if you'd be up for it!!!

Hi Greta!
Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I was off work on friday and then yesterday (monday) was a bank holiday here. Me and some friends went camping in Wales - it's really nice but it was a bit wet unfortunately! On saturday we climbed Mount Snowdon - it's the highest mountain in Wales and England. It's not as high as the mountains in Scotland though, Ben Nevis is the highest in the whole of Britain.
It would be great to meet up with you when I come to Italy The only thing is I have decided to fly to Pescara afterall - just to save time. This is because if I come by bike I can only be with the whole family for 2 weeks (or less). If I fly we can be together for about 3 weeks. However - I WILL definitely come to Italy by bike another time, hopefully soon. That way I can take my time and not worry about getting there in time for the holiday - and it means I could alter the route to meet up with you
How are things just now anyway - any luck with the book yet?
Ciao x

Hello Riccardo Just gissa shout anytime you're in the vicinity!
Writing career: I inquired with a publisher last week, and theyr wrote back saying that they're accepting submissions, so off goes the manuscript tomorrow, and let's keep our fingers crossed. Another publisher wrote back saying they haven't published anything in two years, but I had also expressed interest in a ten-day seminar they are organising in Milan. It would be a bit of a risk, as I have no holidays and it would mean having to ask my boss to renew my contract two weeks later than planned (thus losing two weeks' pay), plus I'd have to pay for the seminar and find a place to stay while in Milan, but I'm considering it. I really want to work in the publishing industry, and I'll sacrifice anything to get my wish.
After all, my loev life is so cr*p I have to be rewarded somehow. Balance!

Hi Greta,
How are you? I've not been on much lately, but I thought I had to tell you I've bought an inter-rail ticket, and I'll be travelling around Europe for the whole of October
I plan to visit Italy (again) at some point, possibly towards the end of October, so I will make an effort to come to Trieste. It would be nice to meet up, so if you're around then and fancy it, let me know. You can reply here or email me - it's [email protected]
Bye for now,
Riccardo
