Good Omens is actually the one I am finishing right now.. It's co-written with Terry Pratchett. He also wrote: American Gods (which I've just started reading aloud to my mum), Stardust, and Neverwhere. They're all pretty hoopy books. smiley - smiley

I'm a bookworm too.. smiley - laugh Reading in class? For shame! smiley - winkeye As if I didn't used to.. smiley - smiley

american gods...that's the one, i've definately read that..and neverwhere too, but i don't think i've come across stardust.

it's a long time since i read in class, though i did used to read comic in my uni lectures, even though i was a *mature* student, and old enough to know better. now i read instead of cleaning/cooking/housework stuff. when i look after babies, it a book in one hand, the pram handle in the other, and a good rythm going....

only one of my offspring seems to have inherited my insatiable book reading, neither of us can bare to be without a book, even for the shortest time, and have to make emergency runs to the library.

you know when you do the 'when i'm rich/win the lottery thing' where you plan what you'll do with all the money (well, maybe you don't do that, but anyway.....), my biggest indicator of being rich is to be able to buy a book everytime you need one......what luxery!!!smiley - smiley

smiley - laugh No worries about the spelling, etc (not that I noticed anything but eh)

Stardust is really cute -- It's a faerie tale about this guy who goes into faerie to get somethign for the girl he loves and he goes on an adventure..

LOL I still read in class.. Even though I really shouldn't in uni. smiley - smiley I usually end up sleeping when I take care of babies (luckily the babies are sleeping too, smiley - laugh)

I'm lucky, I have a job but no responsibility.. So I can spend most of my $$ on books... smiley - smiley

i havn't seen that yet, i heard it panned in the box office and is responsible for the collapse of film four as a production company. The last time i went to the cinema was to see star wars.

i can't help thinnking it would have been a lot better if i was 9 or something, i just couldn't help comparing it with the original star wars films, which prob. appear really naff now....

what are your best films?

i really like:
truely, madly, deeply
leon
jean de florette and manon des sources
diva
some like it hot
dogma

that's just today, i'll prob change my mind by tomorrow....

It's out on video for us now.. I thought it was rather good, actually.. How odd that the critics hated it. 'Course they hate a lot of my favorite movies.. smiley - smiley

I like the original Star Wars films better, they have that *magic*.. But I still thought the new ones were v. good. smiley - smiley

My best films for today are:
Labyrinth
Legend
Sixteen Candles
Spaceballs
Rocky Horror Picture Show
French Kiss
Lilo and Stitch
Beauty and the Beast

Lol, I understand about changing film opinions.. I like to change my mind daily.. smiley - laugh
