As you are obviously a part of the great tradition of Noggin, can you please tell me the name of the dragon in the program?

Noggin, you have been invited to join the "God" thread in exile at the following link.

Please join in. You don't have to leave to original "god" thread, but try to keep the thread in exile secret. We don't want to open it to everyone until we have some good discussion by people who we select.

"Noggin" kinda passed me by. I was more of a "Chorlton", "Mary, Mungo and Midge", Bod" kind of child. Although, looking at "Bod" now through the eyes of my (much younger) partner, Bod does resemble nothing so much as an Indonesian child prostitute.

Well, hi there, speff.
You're a generation younger than me; I know the names, but I don't think I ever watched any of them.
What do you teach?
I'm from Llanelli in Wales, though a Londoner by birth. For some reason the God thread seems to attract the Welsh; Alji and Math are Welsh, too, although I think you'll find Jordan and Anthea are fellow Scots.
And if you find a good bathtub sealant let me know. Mine's in a sorry state.
Noggin
PS I gather from your page that your a returnee rather than a newbie.
Did you have a different name then, or was it before my time?

I like to say that I teach the little ba*****s not to mess with me; but my subject is English. Which should offer up much in the way of ridicule in terms of the literacy (or otherwise) of my posts!
I'm only a returnee in the sense that I hadn't posted for some considerable time. Being in a one - PC household means that I frequently have to wrest the computer away from my gamer boyfriend - for his own sanity, of course.

I'm a soon-to-be-unemployed (my part of the network is currently being "reinvented") subpostmaster by profession, and as you may have guessed, a philosopher by inclination.
Although also only a one PC household we do have a Playstation, which serves to keep the gamers off my back (and PC) while Im hootooing. (makes me sound like an owl, doesn't it? )

"Reinvented"? Is that what they now call making people redundant? What a grotesque euphemism! And I thought "rationalise" was bad enough...
There's a conversation topic; vile euphemisms as used by big business. I particularly hate "rebranding" as it usually means the same old s**t in shiny new paper.
