Glad to hear it was a good day, honey.
Scrambled eggs are also good!
One day at a time . . . am quite happy to also be spending them with you.

Ragged Dragon Posted May 10, 2005
Today (Tuesday), she was awake for the first time in two weeks of my visits. I have sat with her, and sung the songs, and talked of the paths through the woods, for two weeks. But on Sunday, I talked of somewhere different
I was gifted a dream from the Sister of the Wolf, Daughter of Loki, who showed me where I was going wrong My mum isn't expecting a mead hall, or a wood, or a beautiful piece of countryside . Of course she isn't. What she wants, and what has been prepared for her, is a little bungalow, just a couple of streets back from the sea, and my dad, waiting for her. And that's where she will go, at least until she finds her feet. It's a different song, and a different place, but that's where she will be, and that is what I sang, on Sunday And today she was awake...
She was difficult to understand. She asked me for a drink, and she may have known who I was. I have decided to believe she knew who I was.
She went back to sleep after about 30 minutes.
And smiled. I hope I know what she was seeing, and who she was talking to, once I had left

Tonight, thinking of Coz, I came back and read t his and cried.
I had managed to forget how long she had been dying, how bad parts of it have been for both of us.
Jan 2005 to Sept 2006. Over 18 months.
But she has gone, now, and this weekend is Winternights.
Farewell, mum...
Farewell, Coz...
Love to you all, all of you who kept me going, and kept him going...

Jez,
And I haven't gone away, nor have your other friends.
In Hungary and Poland this week, talk to you at the weekend maybe.
Blessings,
Matholwch .

I'm still here too. Just didn't want to keep posting here if you weren't replying. Who is Coz?
I didn't know that your mother had finally passed on. What a long struggle for both of you.
My mother died in October - I've written about it here...

Anyhow, much love from me and please stay in touch.

But not yet, it seems.
I woke up tonight, and for some reason came here. And I thank you all again.

Life is good, but at the right time, we need to die, and to be allowed to die without all this.

I still can't read this without crying.
Today I read that Terry Pratchett has taken the first steps to his own assisted suicide.
May the gods be with him - except that he is atheist, of course. But anyone who can create 'Small Gods' deserves to walk across his desert at his own speed, and at a time of his own choosing.
