"Wogan" went off-air in the early nineties and was replaced with the IMHO absymal "Eldorado".
Wogan featured (usually) dignified chats with celebrities, sent out live. Recently, it seems celebrities can't carry a civilised conversation beyond "Tell us about the new film/album/book/therapy/surgery you're doing".

cooool. And Wogan is still around according to that link you sent me...seems like a morning show? Those are really effing annoying in the US, don't know about anywhere else though. I have some Python lying around, I'll have to check out this sketch.

Utter classic.

With a big fake noise, that the interviewer removes...I just caught it this morning. Pretty quick, but very good.
