I was just re-reading this tonight, and it made me think of my grandma, and it made me laugh.



I think she'd be amused at being quoted and then that quote being QoTD.

I had Sundays.

That one made me laugh, too. Also made me want to see the Pandas.

I missed the Pandas! I booked tickets for last weekend and was too busy.

Though it's not as funny when it happens to you. I've told my pigeon story before, but...

Several years ago a friend and I went to an outdoor film thingy. We took the train downtown and then walked over to the park where the film was showing. The route we took runs under the elevated tracks (this is important to what happens later).

As we were walking, we saw a homeless man standing at an intersection. He was holding out a Styrofoam cup. I had a handful of quarters in my pocket and I threw them into his cup... thereby splashing his coffee all over him.

So he threw down the cup, shouted at us, and started running toward us. We both freaked out and ran like hell, with him giving chase for a couple of blocks before he gave up. Once we'd achieved a safe distance, we stopped, wheezing and gasping for breath, especially asthmatic old me. Once we'd caught enough breath to do so, we both started giggling a bit. I threw back my head...

... and a pigeon on the underside of the tracks above took a shit that landed in my mouth. Seriously.



(My friend lost it completely at this point, and literally rolled on the ground laughing, wheezing out something about instant karma. I went to Mickey D's and bought the largest fountain drink they had to get the taste out my mouth. In case any inquiring minds want to know, the taste was like dirty feathers.)

I was going to mention the time my brother took a drink and went to wipe his mouth with his hand, when a bird shit on his hand just in time for him to smear it all over his mouth. But that's nothing compared to your story.

I'm glad you told us about the taste, though. Now I'll never have to try it.

I bet penguin shit tastes even worse.
