Oh, and I'd intended to do some tidying-up around here today, but my new video game arrived Friday, we were visiting my in-laws yesterday, and today we're supposed to go for brunch and to the zoo.
I am way too tired when I get home weekday evenings (and that's on the evenings I get home with time to have dinner and not go straight to bed).
I think I need to finally get around to hiring that cleaner I've been meaning to hire for the last few years...

Well it's a two-way thing. If I want you, I'll contact you. Have!
(and check out my lovely Edinbugger album from yesterday, 'elsewhere')

Yes, and I typically respond when contacted. Sometimes I *think* I have been in contact with someone and then find out I only just thought I had. Or even better is when I think about someone and want to send them a nice email, hear from them a couple weeks later that it's been a while, and discover that nice message I'd "sent" them is sitting in my drafts folder.
It's a holdover from work where I avoid responding to email and send all my calls to VM to deal with when I'm not annoyed.

That is true, Ed, by and large, many is the policy/document/ what have you that I never got round to in the past that became redundant completely after ignoring it in my in-tray** for long enough.

Like Friday when I wasted four hours playing phone tag with a vendor trying to set up a COD for an implant (not sure why it had to be COD but that's another issue) and finally got the OK to push it through using the P.O. I called the administrator at the center for the P.O., she emailed me a copy, and the implant had already been delivered and the procedure completed, several days previously.
My only vindication was calling the vendor back and telling them that rather than scrambling to get the payment approved we'd just wait for them to invoice it.
All of my days have been like that recently.
And I've just lost 2/3 of a weekend to this new video game. My house is still dirty!!

My house is dirty and I don't have a video game to blame it on.
