The Munch exhibition was really cool. They had quite a few of his works.

We got there right when the museum opened to non-members, 11am, so we waited till around noon to hit the special exhibit. When many people were having lunch. We did the audio tour, so we got to use little playback devices with headphones and learned a bit about Munch and some of his works.

Then we had lunch in the cafe, then kicked around looking at lots of the permanent exhibits. And we arrived home just before the rain started again!

Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

The ketchupy, mustardy marinade...you can boil it down to make a sticky sauce. The best way would be to microwave it, to avoid a sticky pan.

Tonigh'ts dinner was grilled slices of aubergine and halloumi, grilled, peeled peppers (I by them bottled), cut into strips and mainated in olive oil, garlic and a little chopped, fresh mint...and one of my favourite salads: finely chop some onion and a couple of green chillies. Mix together and salt. Leave a while fr the flavours to develop and add a can of black-eyed peas, some chopped tomatoes and chopped coriander and olive oil. It's one of those better-than-the-sum-of-its-parts dishes.

Mmm, the salad sounds good, though I'd probably not make it for dinner since D doesn't like raw onions or cilantro- but I like both so it'd make me a nice lunch one day this summer.

Last night I made split-pea soup. It had to be quick, since we were out all day.

Chopped red onion, softened in olive oil, veg stock, salt and pepper, dried split peas. Simmered for about 30 minutes, then stirred in fresh lemon juice and smoked paprika. We had it with little brushetta rounds plopped in it.

Malabarista - now with added pony

Dunno whether you're in the mood for this now, PC, but...

We went to a Caucasian restaurant on Friday, and they had one thing from their grill buffet that wasn't meat, but *was* interesting.

Spiced mashed potatoes, moulded around skewers and grilled. smiley - weird idea, but very tasty!
