Yes, it has been very rewarding being involved in the day-to-day operations of the site. We have a great team of hard-working people running things, and they're all a real pleasure to work with.

K and I did "make it legal", mainly because I'd lost my old job and was starting a new one and mistakenly thought I could only go on his medical plan as a dependent if we were married. Apparently our insurance carrier does recognize common-law even if the state of Illinois does not. But, this is better for other legal purposes, not least inheritance rights. We didn't make a big fuss out of it- the relationship long existed, and it was just getting the piece of paper signed. A friend of ours is a licensed officiant, so he and his wife came over last June 25th and he signed off on it. I didn't even change out of my pajamas.

We're recently moved from our old apartment- you may remember I had a litany of complaints about things which were poorly maintained or went unrepaired. I couldn't stand it any more, and now we have relocated to a larger place, just a little way due north of the old place. Still right smack in the north side of the city, but right on a riverbank, so the best of both worlds.

I hope you are doing well? I think of you often but worry about bombarding you with messages you might not be up to answering.

I am really enjoying settling into my new place. It is nice and quiet here most of the time, and with a bit more space!
