YAY!!!!YAY!!!!YAY!!!!

smiley - thepost just arrived!

The clock hands are simply stunningsmiley - wow, where did you say you found them? As for thesmiley - musicalnote, so far i am still on The Go Betweens, which is startlingly good; why these people are not rich & famous is utterly beyond me! Who is the singer on this one? Great voice. Brilliant subtle key changes on many songs too...ooh, there goes another one, spooky!

Do i progress onto Tuff UK next or Geezers new one?

Hiya!

The clock hands are from the other company in the building I work in. My desk is right near their shipping area, and the ones I sent you were hands that had dropped on the floor and were left there. I'm glad if you can use them!

I still have a belt to send you but didn't have any other packaging if I opened that envelope to add stuff. Next time!

I don't know much about the Go-Betweens but will have to check some background for you. That's one I had copied from K.

Tuffy is kind of power pop stuff, the Geezers one is fast and loud. So which one comes next deoends on how noisy a mood you're in! smiley - winkeye

I would love to send more music (you'd mentioned having to sell CDs, K and I have both had to do that and would love to help replenish your collection). Amongst the 1000 or so CDs in this flat, we could easily find you more stuff you'd like!

We've got all kinds of stuff. Punk, post-punk, power pop, glam, psychedelic, etc. I have two discs of '60s pop tunes covered by Thai bands at the time, we've got lots of Sun Ra, Syd Barrett, and David Bowie. Let me know if there's anything you'd be intersted in and I can send some more CDs in a few weeks. smiley - smiley

Meanwhile, I am really looking forward to seeing what you do with those clock hands. I got as many of the pretty filigreed ones as possible, but also tried to get a couple of different styles and sizes. And I've always got my eyes open for things that might be able to inspire a cheesebox.

Would love a couple of really naff French fridge magnets!! That would be totally cool! Like most other things I like, friends included, the more unique, unusual or naff, the better! smiley - biggrin

BISOOOOOOOOUS!!

There's one with some yompy French footballer giving the finger, presumably to the ref? And another unpleasantly coloured squidgy smiley - fish

Both are curently rather grubby, i will try & clean them up a bit first!

I did have an incredibly lovely fluffy animal one, that i fell in love with, its fur was falling out & it looked totally rabid & unloved. Absolutely all my RL friends thought it was hideous. Yoda was frightened to death of it but one day Mooon (who is frightened of sod all!) got revenge & smashed it to the ground, so it now has a hole where its snout used to be. I Have Plans for it though, it may end up sharing cheesbox space with the clock hands!

Any cooler there today? It seems slightly better here so far, but exhausted from the backlog of the heat, can't get anything done at all, i think i may just give up & go back to bed for a bit.

I shall save the other CD's for later.

It's not that warm right now- it's only 7:25 AM. It's mid to upper 70s at the moment. We're supposed to see low to mid 90s, which is hot, yes, but tolerable if not for the godawful humidity!

We don't plan on going anywhere today, not till dinnertime, anyway. I'm waiting for, then reading as much as possible of, my book. Since we're a bit short on liquid cash this weekend (my boss docked me 12 hours from this check for the day I was in hospital and the 1/2 day we worked before the holiday weekend), we may not even go out for dinner. We might just have leftovers or some frozen naan/samosas/mini quiches we found at the health food store and have stashed in the freezer for "emergencies". (Emergnecy usually meaning I don't feel up to cooking- and it is a bit too hot to be running the oven...)

I'd love either of those magnets. They'd mean even more having come from you. smiley - smooch

Enjoy your siesta. I might have one myself, later this afternoon. I've been up since 5:00 AM, when Herman woke me up by pawing my elbow. I don't blame him, really, that's what time we get up during the week and it's when I first fill his food dish. Poor little guy was hungry!
