Hi,PC,just wanted to say i hope the move goes well, and even though it won't be a "new home" it'll certainly be a different one.
Good helth, and in your new start.
Much happiness.

Thank you, Smurfles! That's awfully sweet of you, taking the time to wish me luck. I sure appreciate it.
As for the move itself, it's gone smoothly thus far. It means a lot, well wishes coming from someone who's just moved herself. And all the way to Australia, even!

Hey there again!
How's it going getting settled in, especially after having the workmen trash the place? Haven't heard from you much for a while and I've been thinking of you and wondering how you're doing.

Thanks, me too! I tend to lurk a bit too when I haven't "met" someone yet... I can still be a bit bashful about introducing myself or just butting in!
I will look forward to chatting more as well. Thanks!

Hi Smurfles, I know you're in England but I dunno whereabouts. I don't know if you're near London or have any family there, if so, I hope that you and yours are safe and well?

smurfles Posted Jul 7, 2005
Hi PC.<Thank goodness we arent in london,it's been a terrible day for all those poor people.I feel so sorry for all of them.I live in yorkshire,if you've heard of the bronte sisters, then were about 30 minutes away from their birthplace. It takes us 4hours to get to london,as long as hubby doesn't put his foot down and risk my shouting!!
Thanks for thinking about us.

I feel awful for all thse Londoners too! But on the other hand I am immensely grateful that so far my friends have all turned up safe and sound, except for one who I'm sure is OK.
Glad you and hubby were out of harm's way, Sal.

I do hope you hear from the friend you haven't contacted PC,and i'm glad your other friends are all okay. It's scary ,to say the least, but watching events unfold on television was SO sad.Today they were interviewing people on their way to work, travelling as they usually do,and they were all so brave .i think i must be a bit of a coward..don't know if i could have done it.

Yeah, it would be scary. I don't think you cowardly for thinking you'd rather play it safe. Not everyone reacts to things in the same way. I remember after 9/11, we had bomb threats on the subway here in Chicago for months. They were all hoaxes, sick jokes by pathetic pranksters, but they were all equally frightening.
All of my friends and acquaintances, including ones from h2g2, have been accounted for. Thank goodness!!
Hope you and hubby have a lovely weekend, Sal. Talk to you soon.

Hope you have a good weekend too, glad everyone's safe.I can't understand anyone making hoax calls about anything, but certainly not something like 9/11.They realy must be sick.Chat soon PC.

Hi PC.Sorry it took me so long to reply.Sunday was a busy day,and everyone was tired,we just aren't used to the heat here!!On monday my daughter came ,and we sat outside and ate lunch ,but i got myself in the shade.
I really haven't done much else, although we went supermarket shopping at 10.30 p.m.monday,when it had cooled down, and didn't get to bed until almost 2a.m. tuesday morning!!
I am supposed to be looking for a holiday on the internet, but ,very unusual for me,the thought of all this heat in florida for two weeks is putting me off the idea.
I usually look so forward to our trip, but that is when were leaving a cold, wet ,england behind.
Oh well.maybe i should look for something in november...when it's cold here eh?!!
Hope your good wekend has continued,i couldn't access h2 at all yesterday,so i really need to catch up with everyone.
Chat soon .sal

Hi Sal!
No worries, you don't ever have to explain about not being able to get online. Real life stuff has to take precedence! Heck, I only get onlne everyday because I'm doing so from work!
This is definitely not the time of year to be visiting Florida, although it's actually been hotter here temperaturewise in Chicago. it's SOOOOOO humid in Florida this time of year, it's not even funny!
Speaking of Chicago, if you ever did vacation here make sure you get in touch and let me know when and whereabouts so we could meet for a or something! I could probably even cook you and hubby a nice dinner.
Hope you get your vacation planned and also hope you will get a good night's sleep tonight!!
Talk to you again soon
PC

hi there!!Just to let you know we booked the holiday at last. We're going to florida in two weeks, but the weather here is still quite nice, apart from an odd gloomy day here and there.Yesterday was lovely, and we spent a lot of the day outside, but it was a family day, with the children running around, and lots of people here.It was our wedding anniversary, and t would also have been mums birthday, the first since she died,.I was so pleased that there was no sadness,it has always been a happy day.
I hope life is treating you well...i have lots of backlog to catch up on,it has been the school holidays here,so my time on h2 has been limited.but i have seen lots of the children, which i !
I shall miss them when they go back to school.
Take care,PC,chat again soon.

Hi Sal! I have missed seeing you around, but I'm glad you were enjoying the children!
So, you'll be visiting Florida soon? It's still pretty hot weatherwise, when you're there it should be nice and balmy for you!
I'm doing great! I started a new temp job as an administrative assistant with a real estate firm (they always use temps for 6 months first for a kind of test run), and it's nice. It's downtown, which I love, and the work is busy but not too hard.
Otherwise I've just been relaxing and enjoying myself. I've made some other minor changes over the past few weeks that have left me even more so, and we've had a visit from K's sister who's back from Brazil with her hubby and kids. That was fun! All in all, this past month has been one of the best ever.
Glad to hear you're well. Congrats on your wedding anniversary yesterday, and also I'm glad that you weren't sad because of your mom.
Good luck catching up the backlog! I'll look forward to seeing you around a bit more now. Till then!
Best,
PC
