And why is Piers Anthony a guilty pleasure? I absolutely adore the Xanth books and don't feel the slightest bit guilty apart from the fact that I've introduced the eldest grandchildren to him & it's costing their mom a heap of money buying the series

That series is going to be the death of my checking account, too! I guess I think of them as a "guilty pleasure" because they're meant to be "youth" books and I'm *supposed* to be all grown up.

Hello again. Spent the day yesterday in bed with a gnawing toothache, hen went to the dentist. Today I'm feeling all better.

Woke up late on Saturday, round the shops & then went out Saturday night . Why is it that men forget the location of certain rooms in the house when they've had a few . I had to get up at 04:00 to show Grandad where the loo was as he kept running back into the bedroom telling me the door was locked!!. Turns our he was pushing the hinge side

Today I've been to see my mom who's not very well, she lives a two hour drive away, so that's taken up most of the day.

Sorry to hear about the toothache You're lucky to find a dentist open on a Saturday, over here they shut on a Friday and reopen on a Monday and are usually fully booked up for at least a week

I'm fortunate that my dentist's office (or the one nearest the house, which I have been to a couple of times) is open Saturdays till 1:00 PM, and shut on Wednesdays. So I can actually get *in*. Otherwise, I'd be out of luck.

Can't answer your question about men and , I've never lived with any real drinkers. But the bit about the door was kinda funny.

I'm still at work, at the moment. It's just past 3:00, and I'm here till around 5:00 or so. And I've absolutely nothing to do right now. However, I don't feel like being recruited to help pull files to put them into storage, so I'm at my desk pretending to be very busy.

I'll keep your mother in my thoughts, especially Wednesday. Chemotherapy's tough, I know people who've been through it with good results, though! I'll be hoping for the best.

Had a pathetic Tuesday, up to my eyeballs in presentations & folk coming into my office with stooopid requests & questions like did I know the photocopier was out of toner & why isn't the lift working & why can't I fly direct from Manchester to Atlanta

My Tuesday was about the same. With enough mail that I had to bring it to my desk on a hand cart.

I'm an administrative assistant for a real estates company; I support the legal, sales, lending and accounts payable departments. Some days, it's a bit overwhelming. Tomorrow will be hell... but Fridays are generally quiet around here, especially in the afternoons.

I'll bet you're looking forward to the Friday off, you lucky girl, you!! At least I hope it's a personal day, and not a doctor visit or anything? Or are you normally off on Fridays?

I'm PA to the Chief Financial Officer of a Fine Chemicals company, I also support the IT Manager and the VP of our Electrophotography Business It keeps me out of trouble

I'm off to the tomorrow, having a couple of moles removed, one from my shoulder and one from the top of my thigh. I wish I was off routinely on Fridays but hey ho!

My next scheduled leave from work is in November, I've booked 1 1/2 days off to see Alice Cooper & Twisted Sister, 1/2 day to get reaey & 1 day to recover . I've booked the same to see the Foo Fighters in December
