That is the problem with wigs, that and the fact that anything but a really top-knotch one can look really tacky and what my Mum would have called 'cheap and nasty'. Back in the late '70s, her medication caused her to lose her hair, and the wig she had was grey and short, and ugly. It was a great pity, as her own hair was glossy and black, dead straight though. Great relief when it grew back...

I think one of my grammar school teachers must have worn wigs, her hair always looked plasticky, if you know what I mean?
All this discussion of hair has reminded me that K and I both need our hair cut. They always cut his too short, and they always trim my bangs too much (I wear them to cover the scar on my forehead from my car accident injury). But right now they're so long I can barely see through them.

I am talking (I hope) Jim into getting a haircut. He's let it grow, partly in order to achieve the 'Jarno Trulli' look (an F1 racing driver) and partly out of miserliness, he doesn't want to pay for a haircut, now he has to use his own money.)
