h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Marvellous. It's always annoying when people don't put Spaces because we all so want to welcome you but we just can't!

But anyway....

I'm VIP, And I'm here as a representative of the h2g2 community to say hello and give you a welcome. You seem to have started to find your feet, which it good. The only thing is that you still have a number as a name which is difficult for people to remember. Preferences will sort that out. You can also change how that page looks.

As you seem to be doing well by yourself I won't give you the usual newcomers thin, but if you have any questions at all or just want to drop in for a cup of and a chat, just reply.

Actually I´ve been here before, in pre-bbc (Am I allowed to say that ) times. But I have forgotten all my details from then... And yes a number as name is not a really good choice... I´ve been thinking of another one, but I can´t really decide yet...

What was it like pre-bbc? I've only been on for about 9 months. Still a baby, really!

No BBC-logo, no moderation. There was more sex , sometimes some very bad language.

But all in all, it was pretty much the same, once you get used to it. There was quite a bit of flaming before sometimes. But usual after 2 or 3 postings full of insults the situation would coll dowen pretty quickly.

And we were allowed to tell all the bad jokes, you know, the ones that were told in school-yard behind that tree when the teacher wasn´t looking

But h2g2 hasn´t really changed that much...
