Hello M (I feel like I'm in a James Bond film now!)
Nice to hear from you, sorry it has taken a while to get back to you - I am now working part-time so it's hard to get any time to myself right now... however, I'm now taking my lunch break (it's 3.50pm) so I thought I'd have a trawl through hootoo for a little light relief.
I work as a scheme manager for a charity that gives help to families with children under five... so that's both of us then! As you can imagine my line of work is rather hectic so add the baby wrangling outside of working hours and you have me - a rather dishevelled yet still strangely appealing me(as I tell my husband).
As per my page, I have only one rugrat who will be three at the end of June this year. Three boys must make for an interesting life... still at least you don't have to live in a world of pink fluff which is what we are looking at right now.
I can't write much right now as I'd better get on and continue my day - I don't want to be stuck here until midnight!
PS Do excuse the fact that my responses may be tardy, but I will get back to you eventually so please stop by again.

hello
M here, just had birthday party for middle rug rat who's 4
He informed us that he wants a little bundle of pink fluff to play with, we said we might see what we can do !! a big might though.
Mine are into scooby doo at the moment so we went to see a preview they both enjoyed it, but a bit scary
Got to put monsters to bed now, speak soon.

Hi again
We've just had a week off work so am feeling relatively relaxed and fluffy right now... psychosis will return shortly I'm sure .
We did the London Aquarium last week with junior, she loved it and has told everyone she meets that she has seen big sharks and stroked a ray. Tomorrow is an Ugly Bug Ball at nursery so I have been ruining my eyesight crafting a costume that she won't wear as she feels it has been ruined with the addition of sleeves. Obviously blue arms with goosepimples is a far more attractive proposition. ... kids, don't you just love em!

Hi again
Oooh no! not the dreaded tonsills? My sympathies. So far this year, we have had a stinking cold, gastric flu, chicken pox, tonsilitis, two ear infections and now a gunky eye caused by her eyelashes being stuck under her eyelid... (off to the eye hospital tonight then) and it's only April!
So how is he now? all over it I hope. My little 'un gets terrible temperatures with her tonsills 40 plus for days at a time. I'm thinking about buying shares in calpol and nurofen.
The ugly bug ball went very well thanks - I left the nursery with the screams of excitement of 20 odd toddlers and pre-schoolers ringing in my ears. At 8.15 am it was as if they had all eaten at least a pound of sugar, I don't know how the staff coped, I'd have run off to join the circus after 10 minutes!
The seems a very good idea to me, although (being in a similar situation, with more weight lose than you) I'm struggling to decide whether or is a harder sacrifice.
Oh well, this privation will be worth it in the end I am sure. Just started on the slimfast today... I'll let you know if my willpower is strong enough to exist on a vile gloopy drink for longer than a day!
Yours peckishly

hiya
Middle rug rat back to his normal monster self being ill does have it's good points though, no fighting, yippee !!
He had a course of antibiotics which worked wonders, but had to keep well away from eldest as he's allergic to it.
Now you come to mention it is much harder to give up, i was brought 1 easter egg which went asap yum yum but now all the easter choc is half price and i just can not resist.
I'm doing rosemary connelly which i know worked as i did it before last monster was born, and i lost over 3 stone then. But be preggy i thought what the heck and ate anything, now i'm regretting it. But i stayed the same this week again, which i suppose is better than putting any on, so i'm trying to be really really good this week
Hope your gloopy drink goes down well, i did try something like that but i didn't like the taste.
Good luck

Well it's been an interesting week - the tantrum to end all tantrums took place yesterday and I'm still a little stunned that she had the capacity to scream at 1000 decibels! Oh well, I expect my eardrums will grow back and the bleeding will stop one day!
How's everything with your little treasures? at least she can only scrap with me I suppose but I spoke to the health visitor today as time-out had failed abismally yesterday as I couldn't actually get her out of the room and I have been offered alternatives that don't involve me moving to Peru... alone. So all's well that ends well.
Still on the gloopy drinks and the even worse 'meal bars' - I live in hope that the extra poundage will miraculously disappear overnight, or that I'll slip into a coma that will have no ill effects whatsoever except that I wake up svlete and refreshed after all that sleep - that sort of thing .
How's the Rosemay Connley going? Is it very hard to stick to and does it work... let me know, it's the only one I haven't tried yet! Oh well, back to the grindstone - have a good week.

One monster now got ear ache, the other been sick and the other one's teething so fun in our house NOT!!
I've got a reward chart going now and it seems (touch wood )to be working, one gets a magazine and the other gets a ninja turtle, they have to be good for about 14 days to get reward, but they haven't sussed yet that i keep forgetting to tick off the days

Ooh, sorry to hear about the back... you have my sympathies, not only is my back a bit dodgy, but (pre baby) I used to write patient information on guess what? Glad to hear you are up and about again though, take it as easy as you can though - mind you why I'm saying that I don't know - two little 'uns makes for a lot of lifting!
All is well at this end, miraculously I have lost a few pounds (three last week) so I am really quite chipper about that. Only another 20 tons to get off
We are in the midst of toilet training at my end - rewards of a sticker in a book when we successfully make it to the potty or the loo and me contemplating jumping out of a top window when we ignore the potty and just pee all over the floor like a water buffallo in the middle of the limpopo. Aaargh!
Still, hopefully she'll manage to use the loo with no problems and stop drinking from a bottle with a teat before her 18th birthday - I refuse to order a pint of snakebite in a bottle at a venue chosen for its changing facilities!
The latest plague in our house is a vile cough with snotty nose and, being a fastidious little soul, she likes to keep clean... by wiping her nose across my clothes... so that's ok then!
I'm trying a reward chart for things other than the loo in the near future - I'll let you know how I get on.
Anyway, I'm supposed to be working so I'd better crack on. Speak soon and I hope your back and the kids lurgeys all get better very soon.

hello
sorry its been so long i haven't been able to get to comp, to much junk piled up in front of it. i'm glad diet is going well, i need some motivation i have stayed the same for the last few weeks but i haven't been doing exercise as i don't want to hurt back again.
I remember potty training good fun - i think not - even when boys are trained they still cann't get the aim right lots of cleaning of bathroom!!
our reward chart is going ok at moment, middle one bit of mischeif but you'll never guess he has just had Chicken pox, of all the days he could get it he got it on little one's christening, so he got carted off to quarentine.
Oh well never mind speak soon

All's well at this end, little 'un seems to have cleared the ear infection again for now - next time I'm insisting on an ENT consult though. The diet is not going all that well, although the soaring temperatures (30 degrees today apparently) are a pretty good appetite supressant. There had to be a plus to sitting here dreading leaving the relative cool of my office!
How's your back? If you are still having problems I'd have a look on the BackCare website (www.backcare.org.uk if I remember correctly). Loads of advice plus good exercises to strengthen the back and stomach muscles - I used to work for the charity and at that time the website was really good with loads of info so hopefully that remains the case!
I hope all the kids are well and enjoying the sunshine - we are off on our hols (UK based this year) so look out for rain from the 19th June onwards!
