I used to be but gave it up for convinence, because I was only 14 and my mother could only cook one vegan meal, (that was getting a bit dull) and she wouldn't let me cook myself because I'd get burnt.

So now you're old enough to look after yourself - are you going to give it another go?

I'm thinking about it but my cooking skills are nearly as good as my mothers....I would if I could..

Cooking is great fun (one of my favourite activites - almost as good as eating) - and you can make it up as you go along - you don't have to know how. You must cook something now anyway - why should leaving out the animal products make the actual process more difficult?

Most of the meals I cook are vegan, but my life also consists of eating out a lot and getting takeaways, which invairly seem to involve pizza. I just find veganism a bit anti social when you're a student, or living in a shared house.. But maybe I'm finding excuses for myself.

Could be.... but you have to go with what you feel comfortable with. Eating out can be awkward. I've only been vegan for a few months - being vegetarian was bad enough in a social context. But a friend and I are researching a vegan guide for our area and have been pleasantly surprisd by the responses we've had so far from eating establishments. They seem quite keen to help - maybe because we mentioned there are about 20 of us interested in eating out as a group! (Amazing what the strength of numbers can do!) So - if you feel like joining us sometime - we plan to venture over as far as Coventry (we're in Rugby) one evening. I'll let you know when!)
