The Real Cost of Domestic DIY

Hi Sprout,
This appears to be near the point of final acceptance by the Editors for inclusion in the Edited Guide, if I, as a newbie, understand their system correctly.
As I said originally, this was a superb idea and wonderfully expressed from its inception. The new title is more succinct, and therefore more appropriate than the original one, but that one was well thought out in order to attract an initial readership if I am correct in guessing your 'psychological strategy' when presenting it to us for review.
I still feel a fraud having my name included for such a small contribution. Others have done much more towards your article than I have;
but your original contained all the basic elements in its first draft.
Good luck. I'll be watching out for your Big Moment!

Definitely not a fraud, frontiersman.
I really appreciate when people give reaction and their own experience in peer review, and I like these more 'collective entries'. All the anecdotes here really make the piece - it's much more varied than my first draft.
As for the title, it was the BBC that changed it - I've asked them to modify it a bit further so that it incorporates the notion of having builders in, which is after all half of the entry.
