Last day of vacation

Had the week off for spring break and I had really been looking forward to it. Plans of doing some spring cleanning, getting together with friends, going to a casino boat, and spending time on the internet were part of my plans. I awake my first day of vaction to find a cold gray day. That's ok because I really just want to take it easy today and perhaps catch up on some sleep. The day goes by uneventful and I worked some on my baseball fantasy team.
Day two I can feel in the air a storm is brewing and nature begins to snow on my vacation. Four inches of snow, which is more than we had seen during winter, and my phone goes out. Stuck at home, no phone and no internet.
Day three and the phone is still out. It is still snowing and I drive to town to call the phone company. They say some one will be out today. I watch the snow fall and the day go by but no phone man.
Day four and the phone is still out and they say the snow might end today. We now have over a foot of snow and I decide to go to the store to get some supplies. I am gone for one hour and that is when the phone man comes. He was able to fix the phone... no not quite because it goes out again in 5 hours. Tomorrow will be better for I am to meet some friends for food and drink.
Day 5 and the repairman called to tell me he had fixed the phone and this time it works for 1 hour. The most frustrating part is not the lack of phone service but having to deal with the automated menues when you call the phone company. Then when you do talk with a live person they want your information such as phone number and alike. Then you are moved on to the next person who wants all the same info you just gave earlier. They promise me some one will be their tomorrow by 3:30 in the afternoon. sigh
Ah... I do meet my friends and have some fun at BW3.
Day 6 The repairman show up at my place while I am at home and I get to talk to a live human being. I explain all the trouble I have had. He finds the problem and fixes it in 10 minutes flat and it has stayed fixed. Yes, I feel my luck has changed and all will be well. The skies turn dark and a thunderstorm, our first of the year, blows in. I haven't seen sunshine in 6 days and will not for another two.
Day ... aw who cares. Last day of vacation and I am not ready to go back. I will have to hear of those who went to some warm climate and hear of their complants of waiting in line at the airport.
Two months to go and summer vaction begins... I just hope the phone holds out until then.
