Welcome to h2g2 - ah yes, I remember reality - a good reason to come to h2g2 isn't it??
My name is Feisor and I am an ACE (Assistant Community Editor) here at h2g2.
We ACEs are here to assist new researchers so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
You can leave a message on my space just by clicking on my name at the top of this message or by hitting the reply button below - it won't hit back (usually).
I have made a "Hints and Links for New Researchers" page at <./>A719840</.> - if you go there it will lead you to all sorts of places which will help find your way around and get to know this wonderful place
It should keep you busy for a while I am sure that you will love this community as much as we do There's lots of things to see, clubs to join and people to meet - please don't be shy - just jump right in - this is a friendly place. But be careful - it can become quite addictive - believe me I know
Enjoy!!
Have fun!!!
and above all DON'T PANIC!!!

Thanks for the greeting, good Feisor . I've made my self quite at home here in the last few days, and I am thouroughly enjoying it (you were right about it being addictive!!)
I have a couple quick questions for you about guide articles. I live in Vancouver, Canada. Do you think there would be a demand for articles detailing Vancouver, its local pubs, resteraunts, culture, attractions ,etc? Would that type of thing be editied guide worthy? ("Good places to eat and drink in Vancouver" and the ilk?)
Also, I plan on doing a series about basic circuit elements (Resistors, Capacitors and Inductors). Would you reccomend I do it as one large article, or three seperate articles? I can see merit to both approaches.
Also, stay tuned for an article on grapefruits. (I wrote a delightful Sonnet about grapefruits today, which you can find on my page if you are in need of an excuse to procrastinate ).
Cheers!
Valerian

I never need a reason to procrastinate
Have you checked out The Royal h2g2 Procrastinators Society at <./>A431911</.> BTW???
RE guide entries - there's a link about writing entries on that page I left you in the Welcome - I suggest that you use the search window to see what articles have been written and decide whether you can add further info to the Guide on the selected subjects. It will also tell you about the procedures etc - also the Peer Review banner at the top of your page will also help
Don't forget though that there's lots of other things to do here as well - don't forget to have a little fun too ... all work and no play etc ....
Hope this helps
