One of the other volunteers from my shop died this morning..she was 40. She'd been unwell for some time..awaiting a heart n lung transplant so I had not worked with her, but she regularly came in to visit so i met her a few times. We wre only sat in the staff room a few days ago having a laugh! she seemed so much better...n was on about coming back to work soon..smiley - cry we were all very shocked when her daughter n her daughters dad came in to tell us shed gone. I wouldve liked the chance to get to know her better.

It goes to show though, how fragile n fleeting a gift life is..how any time you speak with someone really could be the last. Don't hold on to anger, don't hold back forgiveness from those you've cared for,or fall out with friends and family for silly reasons cos you never know if tomorrow will be too late to tell them you care and they'll be gone forever. I want to tell all my friends, even those ive been angry with or am not speaking with right now..i love you, all of you..cos who knows if tomorrow will even come!

You are so right Sereph, if it hadn't been for hubby and the peace in the house, I wouldn't have gone to see a doctor, and who knows what would have happened - there are still people dying of TBC every year, I might easily have been one of them. It showed me how fast you can get from - *happy and healthy* to seriously ill .

Yes, I can imagine that. I once had a neighbour with a weak heart - she was only 39 when she died, her son was about 5 or six, with the father whom he didn't know living in America. A couple of months ago, another neighbour died , aged 42, his wife had died last summer, and the little girl is only 5 - it happens more often than you think it does, it's horrible.smiley - hug

Death is part of life - it's the very last part. I'm not afraid to die, I just don't want to leave my loved ones & have them grieve over me.

This year I've been to three funerals of people younger than myself.

It's so unfair when someone dies & leaves a young family, I was so lucky having two loving parents who are still together and very much alive.smiley - grovel

I have four children and a grandson and I live in fear of anything terrible happening to them.
Claire's funeral earlier this year was horrendous, 25 years old and she wasn't even ill. She just dropped dead. She was her parents' only child. I went to support my old friend Moira & her hubby Pete, but I didn't know what to say. Claire was born between my two daughters, and her mother & I had worked together over 20 years ago.
The inquest was last week and I read in the paper that the cause of death was a heart attack.

We can only live our lives how we'd like to be remembered.

Death is natural..true..n i know its only the end of this existance n the beginning of the next, but it can still seem so bloody unfair!

I like what you said abut living life as you wish to be remembered..i used to have a quote on my page, "may my existance change the world no mre no less than the gusting of wind or the proud growth of trees" but its impossible i feel to touch another persons life however briefly or lightly without changing them and yourself forever..i didnt get the chance to really know Cathy , but I certainly feel touched by her.

We shpuld all be quicker to love and forgive than we are to anger..life reallly is too fleeting to hold grudges.

Sorry to hear about your loss. smiley - rose

Love you too Sereph, as much you can get close to a bunch of pixels with an arrangement of words.

That's why I come here so much, I like to listen to peeps, get to know peeps, even argue and debate some peeps and have differences of opinions quite heatedly sometimes...I still love it!
